■Hanae Sato (1997-)
Conceptual artist, born and based in Tokyo.
Her artworks is founded on Eastern philosophies, particularly the concepts of Utsu (void) and Utsushi, rooted in Shinto and Buddhism, along with influences from urban culture.
and it centered on the human body and actions, grounded in natural science and anthropological research.
After completing her undergraduate studies in oil painting, she earned a master’s degree in artistic anatomy. In 2019, she studied in Italy, and upon returning to Japan, presented 《1mm tattoo》. Her first artbook is scheduled for publication in 2025.
